Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. lard or shortening
2 c. sugar
2 c. raisins
2 c. applesauce
2 eggs
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 to 2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
4 Tbsp. hot water
4 c. flour

Preparation

Mix all ingredients together.
Flour and grease tube pan. Pour into pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
For cupcake size, bake 15 to 20 minutes; loaf size, bake 1 hour.
