Cherry Jubilee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. soda crackers, crumbled in hand
    1/2 c. nuts
    1 pkg. Dream Whip
    big can Thank You cherries
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until frothy.
    Add cream of tartar and sugar. Beat until very stiff; add vanilla.
    (Now no more electric mixer.) You add crackers and mix by hand.
    Add nuts.
    Put in greased 9 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven 30 to 35 minutes or until light beige.
    Cool.
