Boeuf A La Forester - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak
    flour
    salt
    butter
    1 c. canned tomatoes
    2 cans mushrooms
    1 bay leaf
    6 whole allspice
    1 c. red wine
Preparation
    Slice meat in 1/2-inch strips and dredge in flour.
    Melt butter in a heavy skillet and brown meat.
    Add tomatoes and mushrooms.
    Cook a few minutes longer.
    Transfer to a 1 1/2-quart casserole and add bay leaf, allspice and wine.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    Serves 6.
