Aunt Gibby'S Garlic Dill Pickles(Makes 8 To 10 Quarts) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 flat #2 pickling cucumbers
    1 1/2 qt. white vinegar
    3 qt. water
    1 1/2 scant c. pickling salt
    8 to 10 cloves garlic
    8 to 10 small red chili peppers
    8 to 10 large sprigs dill
    8 to 10 thick slices white onion
Preparation
    Scrub cukes and refrigerate overnight.
    Pack into sterilized quart jars.
    Add 1 each of garlic, onion slice, red pepper and dill sprig.
