Ham And Split Pea Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. green split peas
    1 slice ready to cook ham, cooked and cubed
    4 to 5 large button mushrooms, sliced
    2 carrots, peeled and sliced
    2 chicken bouillon cubes
    6 to 8 c. water
    cayenne pepper to taste
    paprika to taste
    1 clove garlic
Preparation
    In large stockpot, bring water, split peas, carrots, mushrooms, ham, garlic and bouillon cubes to boil. Reduce to simmer for 1 hour or until peas are tender. Add spices to taste.
