4-H Banana Bread(State Fair Winners Book) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. mashed bananas (2 or 3)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped (optional)
Preparation
    Cream butter until soft; gradually add sugar and mix well. Blend in eggs, then bananas.
    Sift together dry ingredients and stir into creamed mixture.
    Bake in 10 x 5 x 3-inch greased loaf pan for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    Cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pan.
    Top with split slightly.
