Shortnin Bread(Cookies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar (light brown)
    4 c. flour
    1 lb. butter, softened
Preparation
    Mix together sugar and flour.
    With a fork, mix in soft butter and work into a smooth dough.
    Turn onto a floured table and pat to 1/2-inch thickness.
    (If necessary, chill dough for easier handling.)
    Cut into desired shapes.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 325\u00b0 for about 25 minutes until very lightly brown.
