Heavenly Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. ripe peaches
    3 lb. sugar
    2 oranges
    1 small jar maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Peel, stone and chop or mash peaches.
    Add sugar and let stand overnight.
    The next morning, add grated rind of 1 orange and the pulp and juice of both oranges.
    Put into heavy saucepan and cook 30 minutes.
    Add the cherries and juice.
    Cook 30 minutes more. Pour into hot jars and seal at once.
