Cheese-Rice Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, diced
    1 cube margarine, melted
    1 3/4 c. uncooked rice
    2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans consomme or bouillon
    14 oz. can mushrooms, undrained
    1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. sliced almonds
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients and bake in covered casserole at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    Serves 6 to 8.
