Aunt Deb'S Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. Jimmy Dean sausage
    2 large white onions, diced
    1/2 c. sliced jalapenos
    2 bell peppers, diced
    Tbsp. chili powder
    tsp. sage
    tsp. oregano
    cayenne pepper to taste
    tsp. Hershey cocoa
    tsp. each salt and pepper
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. red wine vinegar
    2 (29 oz.) cans crushed tomatoes
    2 regular cans red beans
    1/2 can water
    lean ground beef
Preparation
    Brown sausage and equal amount of ground beef; set aside to drain.
    In skillet, place onions, jalapenos, bell peppers, chili powder, sage, oregano, cayenne pepper, cocoa, salt, pepper, cinnamon and vinegar.
    Simmer until onions are clear then stir in meats.
    Put tomatoes, beans and water into slow cooker pot and add all other ingredients when slow boil occurs.
    Let simmer at least 1 hour.
