Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 dashes cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
12 oz. chocolate chips
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
3 eggs
4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. pecans
Preparation

Cream the butter and shortening with sugars and vanilla. Beat in eggs and cinnamon. Add flour, salt and soda.
Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Drop batter by heaping teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes 6 dozen.
