Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. boiling water
    2 c. raw peanuts
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    In a heavy pan, cook the first 5 ingredients until hard crack stage on thermometer (295\u00b0).
    Remove from heat and add the soda. Stir vigorously.
    Put into well-greased pan, spreading thin. When cool, crack into pieces.
