Red Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 gal. cucumber rings
    8 1/2 qt. water
    2 c. dehydrated lime
    1 c. vinegar
    1 small bottle red cake coloring
    1 Tbsp. alum
    2 c. vinegar
    2 c. water
    10 c. sugar
    8 sticks cinnamon
    1 (9 oz.) red cinnamon candy
Preparation
    Bring to a boil and pour over pickles.
    Let stand overnight. Drain juice and heat again for 3 mornings.
    Then put in jars and seal.
