Chrusciki(Angel Wings) - cooking recipe

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 jiggers whiskey
powdered sugar
6 egg yolks, beaten
2 Tbsp. sour cream
1 can Crisco shortening
Preparation

Blend eggs, sour cream and whiskey; add salt to flour and blend together with first mixture until a ball forms (firm but not sticky).
Cut into pieces and roll out dough thin (using Wondra flour) and cut into strips about 6 to 8-inches long and about 1-inch wide; cut slit in center of each piece and pull one end through the slit.
Fry in Crisco in electric wok or electric frypan (I use wok) about 30 to 45 seconds on each side (very lightly browned); drain on paper towel and cool, then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Do not use oil; it is too heavy.
Use shortening (about 3/4 to a full can).
