Rhoda Ayers' Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. Quick Mother's oats
1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. white sugar
1 c. lightly packed brown sugar
1 stick oleo or butter
2 large eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. cocoa
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
walnuts
Preparation

Pour water over rolled oats; let stand.
Cream oleo, sugar and eggs.
Add flour, soda, salt and cocoa plus 1/2 package of chips. Pour batter into 9 x 13-inch pan.
Sprinkle remaining chips and walnuts on top and bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes or a little less.
