Dad'S Chunky Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. sliced celery
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can clear chicken broth
    2 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped
    1/4 c. chopped carrot
    2 cans (6 1/2 oz.) chopped clams
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. half and half
Preparation
    In 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, in hot butter, cook celery and onion until onion is tender.
