Kate'S Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
3 c. plain flour
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. boiling water
1/4 c. warm water
1 pkg. yeast
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add boiling water.
Soften yeast in warm water.
Stir into sugar mixture.
Add egg.
Sift salt and flour and stir gradually into sugar mixture.
Cover tightly and place in refrigerator.
When ready to use, remove amount desired. Shape into rolls and let rise in a warm place approximately 20 minutes.
(Should remain in refrigerator at least 3 hours.)
