Goya Lenten Sauce For Spaghetti - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 1/2 c. salad oil
9 c. chopped onions
9 c. chopped green peppers
12 c. diced carrots
12 c. finely diced celery
16 cloves garlic, finely chopped
20 large cans whole tomatoes
16 small cans tomato paste
16 tsp. salt
4 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. ground cloves
4 tsp. paprika
6 bay leaves (to be removed before serving)
1 gal. Ragu sauce (for base)
16 lb. spaghetti
Preparation

Heat oil
in heavy skillet or pot.
Add chopped vegetables and simmer
for
15
minutes.\tStir
often
to keep from browning. Add
seasonings, tomatoes and tomato paste.
Simmer over low heat, uncovered, for 1 hour or until well thickened. Add Ragu sauce and bring to low boil and turn off.
