Baked Cardamom Applesauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. cored, sliced tart apples
    1 c. unsweetened apple juice or apple cider
    1 Tbsp. maple extract or 1/4 c. maple syrup
    1 tsp. freshly ground cardamom
    1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
Preparation
    Layer sliced apples in ungreased baking dish.
    Combine remaining ingredients and pour over apples.
    Bake uncovered for 1 hour at 375\u00b0.
    Mash warm apples.
    Makes 5 to 6 cups.
