Chicken-Almond Supreme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. diced, cooked chicken
    1/2 c. sliced almonds
    1 small can sliced mushrooms
    1 onion, chopped fine
    1 1/2 c. cooked rice
    6 Tbsp. butter
    6 Tbsp. flour or cornstarch
    3 c. chicken broth
    1 small pkg. grated Cheddar cheese, divided
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 c. toasted bread crumbs, divided
Preparation
    Melt butter; add flour or cornstarch and stir until smooth. Add broth; mix well.
    Blend in half of the cheese and all other ingredients except bread crumbs.
    Spread half of the bread crumbs in bottom of pan.
    Put chicken mixture in pan next and sprinkle top with paprika and celery salt.
    Spread the remaining cheese on top and top with remaining bread crumbs.
    Bake 30 minutes at 350\u00b0 in a 9 x 13-inch pan or until bubbly.
    Serve on hot rice.
