Florida White Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. lemon extract
    1 3/4 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 lb. candied cherries (red and green)
    1 lb. candied pineapple
    4 c. broken pecans
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating after each.
    Add the vanilla and lemon extract.
    Sift together the flour and baking powder. Combine the cherries, pineapple and pecans. Put flour mixture over this.
    Mix and place in cold oven.
    Turn oven to 250\u00b0 and bake for 2 1/2 hours.
