Aunt Lizzie'S Chocolate Chews - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 stick oleo or butter
3 sq. bitter chocolate
2 c. (1 lb.) brown sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Preparation

Mix ingredients and bake in a heavily greased 9 x 9-inch pan for 30 to 35 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
Cool and turn out on to a sheet of wax paper covered with powdered sugar.
Cut into squares while still a little warm.
