Broccoli And Cauliflower With Lemon And Garlic - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head broccoli
    1 large head cauliflower, separated into small pieces
    4 to 6 Tbsp. light bodied olive oil
    1/2 c. water or chicken stock
    salt and freshly ground pepper
    juice of 1 lemon
    1/2 tsp. finely grated lemon zest (optional)
    4 garlic cloves, chopped
Preparation
    Slice tender stems of broccoli in thin rounds and break florets in small pieces.
    Rinse broccoli and cauliflower in cold water; drain thoroughly.
    Over medium high heat, saute garlic in oil and cook until golden.
    Remove garlic and set aside.
    Increase heat to high and add vegetables.
    Stir-fry 2 minutes.
    Add water and mix well.
    Cover and cook until vegetables are crisp-tender, about 2 to 3 minutes.
    Uncover and cook until remaining liquid evaporates.
    Add salt and pepper.
    Mix in garlic and lemon juice. Sprinkle with lemon zest.
    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
