Ingredients

3 c. berries
3 c. sugar
1 stick margarine
4 c. water
2 pie pastry crusts
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. milk
1 pinch salt
1/2 stick margarine
any fresh or canned fruit
1 stick butter or margarine
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 large can sliced peaches with juice (2 1/2 c.)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Place stick of butter in a 9 x 13-inch flat pan and place in oven to melt.
In the meantime, mix together the dry ingredients.
Stir in milk, beating until smooth.
Remove baking pan from oven and pour in batter.
Spoon fruit and juice evenly over the batter.
Return to oven and bake for 35 to 40 minutes until top is lightly browned.
Serve hot or cold with whipped cream.
