Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. candied cherries
    1 lb. candied pineapple
    1 1/2 lb. dates
    8 c. chopped pecans
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    4 beaten eggs
Preparation
    Chop fruit and mix in pecans.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt over fruit and nuts.
    Mix well.
    Mix sugar and eggs until thick.
    Pour over mixture of fruit and pecans; mix well.
    Line tube pans with waxed paper and grease.
    Bake at 275\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
    Makes 3 cakes.
