Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 German chocolate cake mix
    3/4 c. melted butter
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1 pkg. caramels
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients.
    Spread 1/2 of batter in a 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
    Bake 5 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Melt in another pan the caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
    Pour over baked batter. Sprinkle the chopped pecans and chocolate chips over the caramel mixture.
    Drop blotches of remaining batter on top.
    Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Let cool.
    Cut into squares.
