Creamy Chicken 'N Noodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. Crisco shortening or Crisco oil
    2 1/2 lb. broiler-fryer, skin removed and cut into pieces
    1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. plus 1 1/4 tsp. paprika
    2 c. chicken broth
    parsley sprigs
    1 (16 oz.) container nonfat sour cream alternative
    1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    4 c. hot cooked noodles
    salt and pepper (optional)
Preparation
    Heat Crisco shortening or Crisco oil in large deep skillet on medium heat.
    Add chicken.
    Brown on all sides.
    Remove from skillet.
    Add green pepper and onion to skillet.
    Stir-fry until softened.
    Stir in paprika.
    Cook one minute.
    Return chicken to skillet.
    Add broth (add water if needed).
    Add parsley.
    Reduce heat.
    Cover.
    Simmer about 20 minutes or until chicken is tender. Remove from heat.
    Remove chicken from skillet.
    Combine \"sour cream\" and flour.
    Stir into hot broth.
    Puree small amount at a time in food processor or blender.
    Return chicken and sauce to skillet.
    Return to heat to warm.
    Serve with noodles.
    Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
    Makes 4 servings.
