Ground Beef And Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    3/4 c. boiling water
    1 small onion, chopped fine
    1 can mushroom soup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    6 medium potatoes, sliced thin
Preparation
    Brown beef in shortening; drain.
    Add onion to boiling water and simmer 5 minutes.
    Add mushroom soup, salt and pepper to the cooked onion.
    Cover bottom of 1 1/2-quart casserole with a layer of potatoes, then a layer of ground beef.
    Top with onion soup mixture.
    Continue alternating layers.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes to 1 hour or until potatoes are done.
