Parker House Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. milk
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. butter (oleo)
3/4 tsp. salt
1 pkg. yeast
2 Tbsp. very warm water plus 1 tsp. sugar
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 egg
Preparation

Scald milk, then add sugar, butter and salt, stirring until dissolved.
When lukewarm, add yeast, dissolved in lukewarm water plus sugar.
Beat in egg, then add flour, stirring in part of the flour.
Knead in the rest.
Use only enough flour to form a dough that can be handled easily.
Place dough into a bowl; brush top with melted butter (oleo).
Cover bowl; let dough rise in a warm place until it doubles in bulk, about 1 hour.
