Curry Powder Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 medium size cucumbers
    8 c. water
    2 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. mustard seed
    1/2 c. salt
    1 tsp. curry powder
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers; drain.
    Combine salt and 8 cups water.
    Pour over cucumbers and let stand 5 hours or overnight in refrigerator. Drain well.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Heat to boiling.
    Put into jars and seal.
