Rum Custard Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 large egg yolks
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. milk, scalded
Preparation
    Combine yolks and sugar in medium saucepan.
    Gradually add cornstarch and vanilla.
    Add hot milk, whisking constantly.
    Cook over very low heat or in double boiler, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 5 minutes.
    Cool.
