Carolyn'S Crunchy Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    15 c. popped corn
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. pecans or peanuts (optional)
Preparation
    Pop popcorn.
    Heat oven to 200\u00b0.
    Divide corn between 2 (13 x 9 x 2-inch) ungreased baking pans.
    Heat remaining ingredients except baking soda in saucepan.
    Stir occasionally, until bubbly around edges.
    Continue cooking over medium heat for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in soda until foamy.
    Pour on popped corn, stirring until corn is well coated.
    Add pecans or peanuts and stir.
    Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
    Crunchy, delicious snack!
