Tex Mex Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 green pepper, sliced
    2 c. canned tomatoes, drained
    salt and pepper to taste
    3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Cut cabbage in 6 slices and cook about 10 minutes or until tender, but crisp.
    Put into 2-quart greased casserole.
    Saute sugar, onion and green pepper in melted butter.
    Add tomatoes, salt and pepper.
    Pour mixture over cabbage and sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350\u00b0 until heated through.
    Makes 8 servings.
