Mildred Seeley'S Raisin Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 c. water
2 c. raisins
2 Tbsp. shortening
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Combine first 4 ingredients in large saucepan.
Bring to a full boil.
Let cool.
Add remaining ingredients.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
