Linda'S Tortilla Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 zucchini, sliced
    2 c. chicken broth
    1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    2/3 c. whole kernel corn
    1/4 tsp. cumin
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. Monterey Jack or sharp Cheddar cheese
    tortilla chips
Preparation
    Saute onion in oil until tender.
    Boil in a large pot the zucchini, onion and next 6 ingredients. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes or until zucchini are tender.
    Spoon soup into bowls and top with cheese. Serve with chips.
    Makes 1 1/2 quarts.
