Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. light brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon (vary to your taste)
    2 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. vanilla (yes, tablespoons)
    3 c. oatmeal
    2 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugars and eggs well.
    Alternate dry ingredients with vanilla, ending with dry.
    Place large clumps (golf ball size) on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for approximately 18 minutes.
    Depending on size of clumps, yield is 1 1/2 dozen large cookies.
