Sweet And Sour Pork - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. boneless pork, cut into bite sized chunks
    1 to 2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 can pineapple, drained, reserve juice
    3/4 c. water
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. water
    1/3 c. chopped onion
    1 chopped green pepper
Preparation
    Brown pork in shortening and drain.
    Combine pineapple juice, water, vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar and salt.
    Pour over meat and simmer 1 hour.
    Combine cornstarch and 2 tablespoons water. Add to meat and cook until thickened.
    Add pineapple chunks, onion and green pepper.
    Cook, covered, 10 to 15 minutes.
    Serve over rice.
    Makes 6 servings.
