Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. olive oil or salad oil
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 (3 to 3 1/2 lb.) frying chicken, cut into pieces
    1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
    1 medium size onion, chopped
    2 green peppers, seeded and chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
    2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. dry white wine or regular strength chicken broth
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. each: marjoram, oregano and thyme leaves
Preparation
    Heat oil and butter in a wide frying pan over medium-high heat.
    Add chicken and cook, turning, until browned on all sides. Remove chicken and set aside.
    Pour off and discard all but 3 tablespoons drippings.
