Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 oz. red food coloring
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. cocoa
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 1/2 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream the sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs.
    Make paste of food coloring and cocoa; add to above mixture.
    Add buttermilk and salt alternately with flour and vanilla.
    Fold in soda and vinegar, which have been mixed together.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Frost with Fluff Frosting.
