Molasses Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 c. Brer Rabbit molasses
    2 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar and butter with pastry blender until crumbly; save 1 cup for topping.
    Add rest of ingredients.
    Keep reserved crumbs; mix the rest.
    It will be runny and thin.
    Pour into greased pans; sprinkle with crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until it tests done with toothpick.
    The cake will stay in the pan; it sticks.
    Cut into sections and it can be gotten out nicely.
