Ingredients

1 1/2 c. soft butter
2 c. white sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
5 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Put the butter in a large bowl. Add the sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Beat until light and fluffy. Add the flour, baking powder and salt.
Mix well. Refrigerate.
When cold, roll out on floured surface and cut into desired shapes.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 375\u00b0.
Cool on wire rack. Frost with any frosting.
Decorate, if desired.
