Louisiana Yam Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. yams, cooked and mashed
    1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 c. light cream
    1/2 c. milk
    3 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1 (10-inch) pastry shell, uncooked
    2 c. sour cream
    1/4 c. powdered sugar, sifted
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In large mixing bowl, mix yams, brown sugar, cream, milk, eggs, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger.
    Pour into pastry shell. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until knife put in center comes out clean.
