Chocolate Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. cold water
    1 stick margarine
    2 egg whites, beaten stiff
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. white Karo
    3 sq. melted chocolate
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
    Cook sugar, Karo and water with margarine until it forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water.
    Pour slowly over beaten egg whites.
    Add melted chocolate and vanilla.
    Beat until thick enough to spread.
