Lemon Crisp Cut-Outs(Christmas Cookies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. (2 sticks) butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. light cream
    1 tsp. lemon rind
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. regular all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In a large bowl, cream butter; gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
    Add egg, cream, lemon rind and vanilla; beat thoroughly.
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture.
    On lightly floured surface, roll out to 1/8-inch thickness.
    Cut into desired shapes with floured cookie cutters.
    Place on cookie sheets.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 7 to 9 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Remove to wire rack to cool. Decorate as desired.
    Makes 8 dozen.
