Meat Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. tomato juice
    3/4 c. Quaker oats (uncooked)
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Combine all ingredients except ground beef and mix well.
    Add ground beef; mix lightly, but thoroughly.
    Pres into an 8 x 4-inch loaf pan.
    Bake 1 hour.
    Drain and let stand 5 minutes.
