Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 to 2 lb. round steak (cut 1-inch thick)
1/4 c. flour
3 tsp. fat
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. seasoned salt
1 large onion, sliced
1 c. water
Preparation

Dredge meat with flour.
Brown in hot fat over medium heat. Sprinkle with seasonings.
Add onion and 1/2 cup liquid.
Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours until tender.
Add second 1/2 cup liquid during cooking.
Yields 6 servings.
