Corn Light Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 egg
    1 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Finish thickening with meal until a little thicker than egg bread.
    Grease stem pan and paper the bottom.
    Put in stem pan. Cook over hot water for 1 1/2 hours, then bake until brown, about 30 minutes, at 450\u00b0.
