Energy Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) can frozen orange juice, thawed but undiluted
    1/2 c. quick oats (uncooked)
    1 c. mixed dried fruits
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/4 c. dates
    1/4 c. wheat germ
    1 Tbsp. sesame seed
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. molasses
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix first 8 ingredients together. Cream together sugar and shortening. Add molasses and egg; mix well. Sift flour and spices together. Add fruit mixture and mix well. Bake in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan at 325\u00b0. Bake for 35 minutes.
    When cool, cut into bars.
