Hearty Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes, cut up
    1/2 head cabbage, chopped
    4 carrots, diced or sliced
    1 to 2 onions, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1 large can regular V-8 tomato juice
Preparation
    Chop and mix all vegetables.
    Put into large kettle to cook. Cover with V-8 juice and enough water to cover.
    Bring to boil; simmer 1 to 2 hours.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
