Ingredients

1 1/2 c. oleo
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 large pkg. dates, chopped
2 eggs, beaten
4 c. Rice Krispies
vanilla
salt
shredded coconut
Preparation

Melt oleo in large frying pan.
Add sugar and blend.
Add dates and cook until sugar is completely absorbed into dates.
Add date mixture, a little at a time, to beaten eggs.
Blend.
Put into skillet and simmer 1 minute.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla, salt and Rice Krispies.
Drop by spoonfuls into bowl of coconut and coat.
Put on waxed paper and chill.
Freezes well.
